He never changed ,he was always the same, he was always deep
Even though I'm no fan of Dick Clark (A very accurate picture of him is profiled in the highly informative book, 'Rock 'n Roll is here to pay: The History and Politics of the Music Industry' by Steve Chapple and Reebee Garofalo. Published by Nelson-Hall/Chicago; in Chapter 2, Rock 'n Roll Is Here To Stay {subsection 'Payola Week'}), it is fascinating and quite an eye opener, to see this brief Q&A from American Bandstand between a fan of Love and Arthur Lee. Pretty clear evidence of how popular they were during the 1966-1967 period.Thank You Very Much for posting this. It's wonderful to see.
